Inner West Officers acknowledged for their life saving actions

On September 5, Senior Constables Louise Child and Lucinda (Lou) Smyth from the Indooroopilly Police Station, were recognised for their actions saving the life of a woman at Mt Coot-tha in August.
On August 24, Senior Constables Child and Smyth located a woman unconscious within a locked vehicle whilst patrolling Mt Coot-tha.
The officers removed the woman from the vehicle and immediately commenced CPR, until she was able to be revived.
They then maintained first aid on the woman until the arrival of paramedics.
Both officers received an official letter of acknowledgement from Superintendent Mark Reid, Assistant District Officer Patrol Services, North Brisbane.
In his letter of acknowledgement, Superintendent Reid praised the actions of the two officers.
“You were able to acknowledge the urgency of the situation and reacted promptly and appropriately,”  Superintendent Reid said.
“Further your ability to make clear and decisive decisions whilst under pressure, was commendable.”
The letter also acknowledged these actions had quite possibly saved
