Mt Zero on Mt Cootha, Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious

Police from the Inner West Patrol Group conducted the Mt Zero campaign last weekend. It all started up at Mt Coot-tha on Saturday morning with police spreading road safety messages to road users that meet there.
Sunday morning, officers attended the Mt Glorious Cafe and were busy speaking with local residents, motorcycle riders and cyclists about sharing the road safely.

Mt Zero is a campaign created to raise awareness of the dangers of Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious Roads. Common causal factors contributing to accidents on these roads were speed, lack of rider experience, rider error, motorcycle visibility and collision with other vehicles.
Police will continue to remind all road users on the dangers of the mountain roads they are about to experience. The aim of the campaign is to reduce accidents and fatalities within a 12 month period; 2016 saw two deaths on these very roads.

Baker to Vegas 2017: ‘blood, sweat and pride’
Desert running is all about out of body experiences.
As the burning sun beats mercilessly down on you, its white heat scorching the earth and your body heating up until your feel like you’re running inside a furnace, and your body begs, no demands, that you stop. After all, who in their right mind wants to run in temperatures that would have most of us rushing in-doors and cranking up the air conditioning?
That’s when desert running becomes all about out of body experiences. If you can’t forget about the heat searing your legs, the sweat pouring out of you in torrents and the pain of gasping dry, hot air into lungs screaming for relief, then that’s when the desert will beat you.
Your mind has to go on ‘holidays’ while you’re poor body trudges on, kilometre after kilometre.  It doesn’t matter what you think
