Keeping an eye out on our mountains

Police and Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) rangers are becoming increasingly frustrated at the behaviour and vandalism at Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious.
Reports of damage to the lookouts are increasing with several instances of fires being deliberately lit at the lookouts causing damage to the furniture and structures.
In the latest of incidents, the water tank at Jollys Lookout were damaged and may need replacement.
While police and QPWS rangers patrol the areas regularly, they are asking for members of the public to report any suspicious behaviour in these areas, particularly as we are leading into the bush fire session.
If you have any information in relation to these offences, please contact Policelink or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers.
