Detectives are investigating after two men, aged 25 and 26, and who were known to each other, sustained serious injuries in North Brisbane this morning which saw both men hospitalised.
Around 2.30am police were called to Waterworks Road in Ashgrove where a 25-year-old man received a stab wound to his upper arm.
The man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment to a non-life threatening injury.
Police were then advised a second man had been stabbed and had travelled to a Zillmere address.
A short time later officers attended a Handford Road residence where they located the 26-year-old man inside with a serious stab wound to his chest.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and underwent surgery where he remains in a critical condition.
A Holden Commodore located outside the Zillmere address has been seized for forensic testing.
Investigations are continuing into the incident with police appealing for anyone
