Police from the Inner West Patrol Group are warning vehicle owners/ drivers that within the past 28 days, thieves have targeted 19 vehicles in the following Inner West suburb locations:
Steal motor vehicles (three):
Ashgrove: Beth Eden Terrace, Todd Street; and
Bardon: Gerler Street.
Steal from motor vehicles (16):
The Gap: Eranga Street (three vehicles targeted), Michaela Crescent, Exeter Street, Malgoa Street, Granton Place and Tarlinga Street;
Ashgrove: Wessex Lane, Exteter Street, Elimatta Drive, Hibiscus Avenue, Aloomba Road (two vehicles targeted); and
Bardon: Jubilee Terrace, Stuartholme Road and Selby Street.
The targeted vehicles had either been stolen or physically broken into both during the day and night.
The targeted locations have mainly been vehicles parked in residential driveways or on residential streets.
Sadly, half of the vehicles broken into had valuable items in full view and/or which had been left unlocked at the time of the offence.
