Police from the Inner West Patrol Group are warning the owners/users of bicycles that thieves are targeting bicycles in the Inner West suburbs.
Over the past four weeks, the following locations within the Inner West have been subjected to bicycle theft:
Toowong: Bensen Street, Sherwood Road, Brisbane Street, Patrick Lane, Coronation Drive, Lambert Road, Station Road, Wool Street and Sylvan Road;
Keperra: Jarrah Street;
Ferny Grove: Conavalla Street;
Indooroopilly: Central Avenue;
Auchenflower: Dunmore Terrace;
Taringa: Waverley Road;
Ashgrove: Saint Vincent Street;
Chapel Hill: Moordale Street;
St Lucia: Hawken Drive and Bellevue Terrace.
Police encourage you to secure your bicycle
The bicycles being targeted range from medium priced to high-end racing, mountain bikes and e-bikes.
Targeted locations have consisted of open air carports, residential unit block communal garages/storage cages, residential yards, locked or open residential garages and bicycle racks at shopping centres or railway stations.
