The Queensland Police Service (QPS) Railway Squad ran a successful high visibility anti-social and criminal behaviour enforcement activity during afternoon peak hour from Tuesday, March 17 until Friday, March 20, based at Ferny Grove Railway Station.
Officers from the Railway Squad supported by their Mobile Police Facility along with officers from Ferny Grove Police Station and the Mounted Unit conducted the activity at railway stations along the Ferny Grove line and within the local streets surrounding the railway infrastructure.

We were also supported by Queensland Rail authorised officers and Translink senior network officers.
The high visibility police presence was most noticeable at Ferny Grove Railway Station with the deployment of the Railway Squad Mobile Police Facility.
Commuters would have also noticed officers from the Mounted Unit.
Police along with our partner agencies had reason to speak with 25 people in relation to their behaviour on the railway
