School’s back so keep an eye on your speed

Police from the Inner West Patrol Group wish to remind all road users that school speed enforcement zones will be back in operation across Queensland tomorrow morning.

This will occur throughout Queensland with the commencement of the 2020 school year.
Motorists, motorcyclists and cyclists are reminded the gazetted speed limits in all school zones across Queensalnd is 40km/h from 7am to 9am and from 2pm to 4pm, during all school days.

Police and council enforcement officers will be actively policing and enforcing speed limits and traffic offences in school zones, particularly during the first week of the school term’s recommencement.
Police ask all road users to be patient, courteous and vigilant whilst approaching, travelling through and exiting school zones.
Please keep our school zones safe and travel safely, no matter what time it is or where you are.
