On November 22, Constable Charisse Marnock from the Indooroopilly Police Station received both the North Brisbane District and Brisbane Region (encompassing both North and South Brisbane) Adopt-a-Cop award.
Constable Charisse, as she is known to the students of her adopted school, Kenmore South State School, was also nominated for the 2019 State Adopt-a-Cop of the Year award.

This prestigious award is a huge accomplishment for Constable Charisse, who has only been performing her Adopt-a-Cop role for just over 12 months.
Assistant Commissioner Peter Crawford said this award recognises Constable Marnock’s motivation to seek opportunities to engage and enhance interactions with the students and her ability to also engage positively and proactively with staff and parents alike.
