Please be aware that police have received reports of break and enter offences to secure car parking areas within apartment complexes across the Mitchelton area.
It appears that offenders generally enter as resident’s enter or exit the carpark and once access is gained to the car parks, offenders are able to target multiple vehicles, bicycles, motorcycles and storage lockers.
Offenders are often able to gain access to other communal areas and residential areas of the complex from the car park or fire exit stairwells.
Police are encouraging everyone to be vigilant with their security, particularly when entering or accessing the car park of a multi-residential living facility, and to review current security measures.

Use added security devices (such as disc locks) in combination with an ignition or steering locks. Ignition and steering locks on their own are not a deterrent from theft.
If possible, secure your motorcycle to a solid
