Ready! Set! GO! Officers run in the Emergency Services cross country race

On Wednesday, October 9, Senior Constable Mel Fuller and Senior Constable Danni Boyle from Ferny Grove Police Station coordinated the 2019 Police and Emergency Services Games Cross Country event at Lake Samsonvale, Joyner.
The event attracted 22 competitors over a 5.12km and 8.44km course.

Police were kindly assisted by Volunteers in Policing (ViP) members with the coordination of the event on the day.
Ferny Grove’s very own Detective Col Carlsson took out the gold medal in the men’s 55 to 59 age category and Sergeant Darren Thomson took out the bronze in the men’s 45 to 49 age category.

Constable Jen Mulholland from Petrie won the gold in the women’s 40 to 49 age group and North Brisbane Tactician Senior Sergeant Robb Wann received the gold for the men’s 45 to 49 category.
It was a great day with perfect weather, competitive race times and good fun.
