On Saturday, October 12, police from the Inner West Patrol Group and North Brisbane Vulnerable Persons Unit (VPU) attended the Gallipoli Army Barracks Open Day (Explore the Barracks) to provide policing support.
The aim of the open day was to allow defence force family members and community members the opportunity to get up and close to army vehicles, equipment, weapons and helicopters.

The Queensland Police Service (QPS) static display and presence at the event proved to be very popular amongst all ages.
The static police display attracted around 1,500 visitors and provided community members with crime prevention, personal and property security, domestic violence and QPS recruiting information.
