Inner West residents help turn the screws on crime

Inner West Police fitting one-way anti-theft screws at the Bellbowrie Plaza
On Thursday, August 29 and Friday, August 30, crime prevention officers from the Ferny Grove and Indooroopilly Police Stations conducted a number of anti-theft number plate fitting and Queensland Road Safety Week events with local Neighbourhood Watch groups.
The events were held at the Kenmore Village Shopping Centre and the Bellbowrie Tavern.
The events were extremely popular with Inner West residents, as a total of 75 vehicles were fitted with one-way anti-theft screws over the two day events.
Both events also coincided with Queensland Road Safety Week and community members who attended the events were provided with road safety information and some goodie’s.

Inner West Police would like to thank community members for their attendance and contributing to detouring opportunistic crime by having one-way anti-theft screws fitted to their vehicles, or as we say turning the screws on crime.
