This week, Inner West Police will be conducting two separate one-way anti-theft number plate fitting events.
When: Thursday, August 29
Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm
Where: Kenmore Village Shopping Centre, 9 Brookfield Road, Kenmore (library undercover car park area)
When: Friday, August 30
Time: 11am to 1pm
Where: Bellbowrie Tavern underground car park, 5 Birkin Road, Bellbowrie
Police will remove your number plates at these events and reattach them with one-way screws so that your registration plates can only then be removed with a special ‘un-do-it’ tool.
This is a free QPS initiative.
Both events are organised to coincide with Road Safety Week.
Along with having the screws fitted to your vehicle, police will be on hand to talk all things road safety and staying safe on our roads.
