Taskforce Argos present behind the crime

On Friday, September 20, detectives from the Child Abuse and Sexual Crime Group will host a presentation to discuss the ever growing exposure of children to the risk of exploitation online.
The presentation will feature case studies highlighting the dangers the internet poses for children along with information and strategies to empower parents and children to reduce the risk of becoming a victim.
The Child Abuse and Sexual Crime Group Taskforce Argos, was established in 1997 as a multi-disciplinary taskforce to investigate organised and serial paedophilia.
Since then, Argos has evolved into a specialist unit of the Queensland Police Service which is dedicated to the prevention, disruption and investigation of computer facilitated crimes against children.
