Brisbane Water Police continue to coordinate an air, sea and land search for two men missing in Moreton Bay since Saturday, August 10.
The pair were reported overdue and missing to police after contacting family around 10.15pm Saturday and advising they were returning to shore.
Following an extensive search yesterday their boat, a blue 3.3m aluminium tinnie, was located by the Water Police submerged in the vicinity of Green Island at around 5pm.
Aerial searches continued overnight with also police conducting shore patrols.
Senior Sergeant Dave Edden, Officer-in-Charge of Brisbane Water Police said weather conditions today are easing which should assist with search operations.
“Today’s search will consist of 18 vessels including the Water Police, Coast Guard, Volunteer Marine Rescue and the Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron, as well as helicopters from Polair and Rescue 500.
“Police and SES personnel will also continue searching shore lines.”
