‘School Watch’ – Look, listen, report

With the end of school term two upon us and the school holidays just around the corner, police are seeking the assistance of the wider community to help keep our school grounds safe.
While students and teachers enjoy a break away, unfortunately schools can become a target for offences such as graffiti, arson, trespass and break and enters.
While police and security guards will be patrolling school grounds, we require help from community members by taking part in School Watch.
The School Watch program is a partnership between the QPS, Education Queensland and the State Government Protective Security Service to reduce criminal activity in Queensland schools and encourage everyone to look out for after hours crime.
If you see anything suspicious, please don’t attempt to intervene.
Instead, look, listen and report the matter to School Watch on 13 17 88.
If you see a crime in progress, please call Triple Zero (000).
