This week, Ferny Grove police have been invited to attend many local primary schools within the division to help celebrate the under eights week from May 17 to May 24.
Every year, local schools create a fun morning for the children with a variety of games and activities designed to engage students and the local community.
This year the theme was ‘Celebrating the diversity of languages within the home, culture and community!’
Straight from the word ‘go’, police had a line up of eager students wanting photos and to ask questions about equipment and the police car.

Students were also able to dress as police officers and take the opportunity to test their top running speed with the lidar device.
We had a awesome top speed of 23 kilometres per hour recorded for the week.
