Not now, not ever
The Vulnerable Persons Unit (VPU) are asking that the community join them and stand up and say “NOT NOW, NOT EVER” this May for domestic and family violence prevention month.
This Thursday, May 16, members of the VPU with domestic and family violence services are hosting a domestic violence information booth outside Kmart at Westfield Chermside from 9am to 9pm.
Everyone is welcome to come along and have a conversation, say hello or have a look at or inside a marked police car.
The North Brisbane District Vulnerable Persons and Domestic Violence Unit commenced in August 2018.
VPU has 14 operational police based at Stafford and Petrie Police Stations, all who have a passion and primary focus to help victims of domestic and family violence and interact with respondents to secure the safest outcome for the aggrieved.
