Revellers across Queensland were well behaved as the state welcomed 2019.
Whilst police across Queensland reported a busy night as people farewelled one year and welcomed another, revellers at major events throughout the state were mostly well behaved.
There were few policing incidents in the Brisbane area, especially considering the large crowds that gathered at numerous vantage points across the city.
The early fireworks at 8.30am saw large numbers at Southbank with families out in force to enjoy the festivities.
The large crowds viewing the midnight fireworks at Southbank, Fortitude Valley and the City were well behaved and dispersed quickly following the fireworks.
Across Brisbane City, Fortitude Valley and South Brisbane areas police charged 60 people on 60 charges for mostly anti-social or alcohol related incidents.
