We have been out and about within South Brisbane District, many of you may have seen a high visibility police presence around our roads, at schools and local events such as Coffee with a Cop.
Operation Wake Up launched on 13 November and is a South Brisbane Police District targeted approach to reduce fatal and serious crashes through proactive traffic enforcement and community engagement and education.
In 2018, 18 people have lost their lives on our roads here in South Brisbane District. This is three more compared to the same period last year and we have had in excess of 750 serious crashes.
