Hot weather conditions spark warnings!

As Queensland heads into a heat wave, Inner West Police are asking residents to be extra vigilant and keep an eye out for any suspicious activity in and around bush areas.
The current heatwave is responsible for fires continuing in other parts of Queensland and residents are asked to play their part in managing fire on their property by:

talking to your neighbours and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) about reducing the risk of fire if your property shares boundaries with bushland
asking your neighbours and the QFES about working together as a group to reduce bushfire risk
preparing an evacuation plan for your family and pets

An irresponsible act, such as flicking a cigarette butt out of a car can have the potential to cause serious damage, particularly around dry bushland and reserves.
