Three males and two females have been charged as a result of a police pursuit overnight in Acacia Ridge.
Police will allege, at approximately 8.30pm last night, Polair observed a Lexus, which had been reported stolen from Carindale at 5pm yesterday, driving dangerously through Sherwood.
Police on the ground activated their lights and siren in an attempt to intercept the stolen Lexus on Orange Grove Road at Salisbury. The driver allegedly failed to stop and continued to drive dangerously, crossing on to the incorrect side of the road, driving through red lights and driving at dangerous speeds.
Police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Kessells Road at Salisbury, deflating three tyres. It will be alleged the stolen Lexus continued to drive dangerously and was involved in a head on traffic collision with a Nissan X-trail at the corner of Beaudesert Road and Chardean Street at Acacia Ridge.
