Police and Brookside Shopping Centre are joining forces to help prevent number plate theft.
Help us turn the screws on number plate thefts by taking the opportunity to have one-way screws fitted to your plates.
Taking this simple step not only helps to reduce the theft of number plates, but also reduces the incidences that follow on from this theft.
These offences can include petrol drive offs, break and enters, traffic offences and armed robberies.
Having one-way screws on your car’s registration plates is encouraged if you regularly park your vehicle in shopping centres, train stations or leave your vehicle parked in the street.
We have some upcoming one-way screws events happening this week:
When: Wednesday November 14, 8.45am – 11.30am.
Where: 159 Osborne Road, Mitchelton (Carpark – ‘East basement’)
Cost: FREE!
Police will remove your number plates and re-attach them with one-way screws on the day.
