On October 17, Police from the Inner West Patrol Group continued their series of partnership operations with Road Policing Command, State Penalties Enforcement Unit (SPER) and Transport and Main Roads Inspectors in reducing road trauma within the Inner West.
Inner West Patrol Group Leaders in Partnership Policing
The operation was conducted over a three-hour period at Ashgrove Avenue, Ashgrove, targeting drink and drug driving and defective vehicle offences.
During the operation a total of 346 vehicles were inspected, with the following results:
Seven persons were charged on 9 matters relating to drug possession and licence related offences.
Total of 346 RBTs and 10 Random Drug Tests were conducted.
25 vehicle defects and 12 other Infringement Notices were issued by Transport Inspectors and Road Policing Command Officers.
22 persons of interest were also identified.
Officers of the SPER assisted the motoring public with identifying and managing payment plans for outstanding fines, which if left un-serviced, may have led to
