Ferny Grove students Walk For Daniel

On Friday, October 26, the students Ferny Grove State School, led by their Adopt-A-Cop Senior Constable Wanda Bennett, took part in a ‘Walk For Daniel’ along McGinn Road.

Ferny Grove State School has undertaken this march annually for nine years as part of Day For Daniel, in memory of Daniel Morcombe who was tragically killed 15 years ago.
The Day For Daniel also offers a chance to raise awareness about child safety, and protective behaviours for children.

All dressed in red, hundreds of students walked down the closed-off street with their teachers, a police escort and QFES representatives driving their fire engine behind.
They were greeted (with many high-fives) by the students of Ferny Grove State High School, who had also decorated the fence with red balloons and signs remembering Daniel Morcombe.
