Police have charged a boy following investigations into a suspicious fire at a Morningside school on October 16.
An emergency situation under the Public Safety Preservation Act was declared on the day of the fire with traffic control put in place at Thynne Road and Stephens Street.
A 16-year-old boy was charged yesterday with one count of arson and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Investigations into the incident are continuing with police asking members of the public who may have seen any suspicious activity in the vicinity to contact them.
