Police from the Inner West Patrol Group wish to remind all road users that school speed enforcement zones will be back in operation with effect the morning of Monday October 8.
This will occur throughout Queensland with the resumption of the new school term.
Motorists and cyclist are further reminded the gazetted speed limits in all school zones is 40km/h from 7-9am in the morning, and from 2-4pm in the afternoon on school days.
Speed limits will be enforced
Police will be actively policing and enforcing speed limits and traffic offences in school zones.
We ask motorists to be vigilant whilst approaching, travelling through and exiting school zones.
Please keep our school zones safe and travel safely, no matter what time it is or where you are.
