On August 7 and 8, North Brisbane District held their QPS Health Expos at Arana Hills PCYC and Sandgate PCYC to launch the ‘Our People Matter’ strategy.
The event was free for QPS employees and families as well as the Emergency Services in the North Brisbane regions.
The Our People Matter strategy is all about promoting the health and well-being of our QPS members and their families, encouraging people to focus on four pillars: Fair and Positive Workplaces, Safe Workplaces, Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies.
Many attendees obtained useful health checks during the Expos, including blood pressure, oxygen level, heart rate and cholesterol.
There were also mini fitness challenges, dietitian consults, healthy recipes, food demonstrations, grip strength tests and remedial therapies.
