On Sunday August 5, police from the Inner West Crime Prevention Unit participated in the University of Queensland 2018 Open Day at the St Lucia Campus.
The police stand provided the opportunity for current and prospective university students to speak to police about careers within the Queensland Police Service, recruiting/entry requirements and police life in general.
The police display was collocated with representatives from the UQ Criminology and Criminal Justice Faculty.
This proved to be beneficial and convenient for students wishing to undertake tertiary studies in this area and ascertain how these studies would be beneficial for them pursuing a career within policing.
Inner West Police look forward to continuing their partnership with the University of Queensland and supporting their future Market and Open Days.
