Police are appealing for witnesses after a boy was hit by a vehicle at Ashgrove this afternoon.
Preliminary inquiries indicate around 4pm a 11-year-old local boy was crossing Waterworks Road just west of Fulcher Road when he has been struck by a vehicle which was travelling east.
The male driver of the black Ford Ranger was not injured in the incident.
The boy has been transported to the Lady Celinto Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or people with relevant dashcam vision to contact police.
Forensic Crash Unit officers continue to investigate.
