Police from the Inner West Patrol Group attended the annual Samford Show over the weekend and conducted proactive public engagement activities and held a static crime prevention display.
Whilst participating in the show, police were given the honour of leading the Grand Parade around the main arena on Sunday, which received a huge response from the show audience.
The main attraction of the police display was the static marked police car, which allowed up and coming junior police recruits to look over an operational marked car and wear a police uniform.
It’s highly likely that the QPS will see the positive results of this awesome interaction in the years to come.
The Samford community were also introduced to the QPS newest mascot ‘Sarge’, who assisted attending police with keeping show patrons safe and amusing them with his lovable antics.
