On January 31, police from Ferny Grove in partnership with Indooroopilly Road Policing Unit (RPU) and Ferny Grove Crime Investigation Branch (CIB) conducted a traffic operation on Dawson Parade, Keperra and Old Northern Road, Albany Creek.
This operation focused on driver safety, vehicle road worthiness, to deter drug and drink driving, unlicensed driving, drug supply, drug possession and other offences.
The results from the operation are as follow:
499 Roadside Breathe Test (RBT) were completed with 12 traffic infirngment notices issued.
Some of the infringements included the following:
P plate offences;
Failure to comply with license condition;
Failure to wear a seatbelt;
Unregistered;
Uninsured; and
Unlicensed
Senior Constable Renee Robertson said police are now working on the next phases of their strategy including increased enforcement.
“You can expect to see more traffic enforcement and joint community engagement to keep road safety foremost in people’s minds,” Senior Constable Renee Robertson said.
