If you’re going to drink, plan not to drive

Recently I went to RACQ as part of their drink driving campaign where we tested three types of privately purchased breathalysers back-to-back with the QPS roadside breath testing device.
We used two volunteers (who wouldn’t volunteer to drink at work and have it supplied by your boss?) who drank either a red or white wine. We then tested the three commercially available devices against the device that the QPS use to test drivers at the roadside.

The QPS device are calibrated consistently through the National Association of Testing Authorities scheme and our process is that when a driver returns a reading in excess of the legal limit we conduct a secondary evidential analysis.
