A man has died following a single vehicle traffic crash in Samford Valley overnight.
Preliminary investigations indicate at around 9:45pm a car was travelling along Mount Glorious Road when it left the roadway near Parkwood Drive, travelling down the side of an embankment and colliding with a tree.
Emergency services attended however the 19-year-old male driver from Highvale was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A 20-year-old Upper Kedron man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injures.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
