Criminals appear to have the key to stealing cars, literally.

Keys are the means to take your vehicle. Protect your property by not making them easily available.
As motor vehicle security has increased over the years, this has made it more difficult for offenders to get away with your vehicle.
They are now committing break and enters of dwellings and specifically targeting car keys which are then used to steal the motor vehicle.
In the past few weeks we have again seen a number of these offences in Brisbane West and North Brisbane.
Residents are encouraged to think about where they store car keys and other personal property that is likely to be targeted by offenders. Even moving keys out of sight and into a drawer or cupboard can reduce the likelihood of them being stolen.
