Yesterday police from the Inner West Patrol Group were invited to spend an awesome fun-filled afternoon with the Samford Joey Scout Mob.
The Joey Scouts, whose ages range from six to 7-years-old, form an integral part of the Samford Scout Group who are proud to be one of the largest and most successful Scout Groups in Queensland with over 100 members.
The principles and activities provided by Scouts play an important role in the social and physical development of young people. These include self-reliance, confidence, mutual trust and understanding, a sense of community and fun. Scouts provide a safe but challenging environment for young people to develop new skills, which helps develop them into healthy individuals.
The visit by police contributed to the development of these young and up-coming members of our community. During the visit the Joeys had the opportunity to learn about being a police officer, the role police play in
