Appeal for witnesses: Assault, Mount Coot-tha

Police are appealing for information from the public following an alleged assault incident at the Brisbane Botanical Gardens Mount Coot-tha this afternoon.
Around 2.15pm the male victim was approached by another male whilst he sat in the botanical gardens.  The male then allegedly punched the victim several times in the head before choking him.
The man then allegedly made verbal threats towards the victim before letting him go.
The man then left the gardens in a vehicle, described as a red utility with style sides.
The man is Cacausian and described as mid 30’s, muscular build, bald head and was wearing a pink/red singlet and above the knee shorts.
The 30-year-old male victim received bruising and swelling on his face and neck as a result of the incident.
