Police from Inner West Patrol Group are urging residents to lock up their trailers.
Over the past 60 days there have been a number of trailers stolen from the Chapel Hill, Toowong, Taringa, Bardon, Ferny Hills, Everton Hills and Arana Hills areas.
This primarily consisted of unsecured box trailers, a camper and dinghy being stolen because they were visible from the street.
The offenders are simply hooking them up to their vehicle and driving off.
Please make sure you attempt to make it as hard as possible for these thieves to steal your trailer by securing the trailer on with a hitch lock, wheel clamp or similar device. These can made it difficult to simply hook them up and drive off because trailers and contents amounts to tens of thousands of dollars worth of property.
