Wear it purple tomorrow for LGBTI+

Save the date! “Wear it Purple” Day is fast approaching on the 25th day of August 2017.
Drag out of the closet those purple clothes and wear with pride your loudest purple get ups.
This year the Queensland Police Service (QPS) is again supporting “Wear it Purple” to raise community awareness and empower Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) young people to know they are not alone and have the right to be proud of who they are.
Let’s get into the spirit by adding a dash of purple to celebrate diversity.
Keep an eye out for your local Police officers who may be wearing purple boot laces, purple ribbons or the LGBTI QPS Police Lanyards.
