As part of Queensland Road Safety Week this morning I attended Mount Coot tha with officers from District Crime Prevention.
The theme of today is “Share the Road”, to be patient and keep a lookout for bicycles, motorcycles and pedestrians.
As part of that theme we spoke with road users, in particular cyclists, in the Mount Coo- tha area. We were fortunate that we had some bells and bike locks that we were provided to offer to cyclists.
We had some great interaction with road users and were able to reinforce the message that everyone should look out for and give all other road users the extra space they need, particularly trucks, cyclists and motorcyclists.
