Dear residents of The Gap, thieves have been targeting homes in your area.
In the past week there were three burglaries in the following streets: Sassafras, Elvendon and Barrbooka Streets.
The thieves are stealing personal items, including jewellery.
The main method that thieves are using to gain entry is by jemmying locked doors or windows to the rear of homes.
The offences have occurred while the residents are not at home.
Police have increased patrols in your area and residents are encouraged to secure their homes and vehicles, record details of electronic equipment and photograph jewellery.
Please report any suspicious people or vehicles seen in your area to police.
