Is your car locked?

July has so far seen 19 cars broken into in the Inner West Police area with The Gap having four vehicles fall victim to thieves.
Thieves are targetting the following:

Valuables left in vehicles;
Unlocked vehicles;
Unlocked homes; and
Car keys, wallets, laptops and mobile phones left in plain view.

Following these few simple steps might just save you the heartache and headaches associated with property theft, vehicle theft and home burglaries:

Ensure that your vehicle is locked and that valuables are removed EVERY time you leave your car;
Ensure that your home is locked; and
Hide your car keys at home.
