Police from the Inner West Patrol Group in conjunction with The Gap Neighbourhood Watch will be at Mount Glorious Café this Saturday and Sunday mornings to spread road safety messages to road users that meet there.
You will find us set up near the busy Mt Glorious Café and are happy to speak with local residents, motorcycle riders and cyclists about sharing the road safely.
Mt Zero is a campaign created to raise awareness of the dangers of Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious Roads. Common factors contributing to accidents on these roads are speed, lack of rider experience, rider error, motorcycle visibility and collision with other vehicles.
Police will continue to remind all road users on the dangers of the mountain roads they are about to experience. The aim of the campaign is to reduce accidents and fatalities on these very roads.
