The Inner West Crime Group includes the Ferny Grove, The Gap and Indooroopilly Police Divisions. The group includes the Child Protection and Investigation Unit or commonly known as the CPIU. This is a dedicated group of officers who specialise in the investigation of matters involving persons under the age of 18-years-old as either a victim of an offence or those under 18-years-old who may have committed an offence.
The CPIU is a 19-strong team of men and women from the community who like you, are mums and dads and who not only understand but also experience those less then perfect parenting, child and schooling moments.
The officers are stationed at the Ferny Grove Police Station and work shifts that accommodate outside standard business hours and weekend hours.
