Ding, ding! Road safety messages delivered

A number of free bicycle bells were give to cyclistist who stopped to have a chat with us this morning.
This morning Senior Constable Paul Bagnall and I set up shop on Mount Coot-tha to talk all things road safety, what we do in the Road Policing Unit role and the more typical complaints which necessitate a policing response.
As a member of the Indooroopilly Road Policing Unit it is our responsibility for road safety and education in the Mount Coot-tha, Mount Nebo and Mount Glorious areas. We also are the ones who receive and investigate complaints regarding road users in areas such as those listed.
It is our hope that by engaging with cyclists and motorist like we did this morning, we can all get a greater appreciation of other road user’s perspectives.
