On Sunday April 7, local families converged on the Samford Emergency Services Expo at John Scott Park, Samford Village to meet some of the wonderful men and women who serve the community.
The latest disaster response equipment was in action that day, including a simulation kitchen fire and a car accident simulation.
People were able to listen and learn from their experience about how you can best prepare and plan for disasters to improve your resilience and that of your neighbours.
Kids and their parents had the opportunity to get up close to the police all-terrain vehicle (ATV), police boat, the Mounted Police and Mobile Police Facility.
An appearance from Senior Constable Clancy Koala was very special too!
