Acreage homes in Milbrook Drive, Pullenvale were targeted on Friday, May 5 during the daytime by offenders who broke into the homes and stole property, including a quantity of jewellery.
One home had louvres removed by offenders and the other had a hole cut in the screen of the kitchen window enabling offenders to gain entry. The homes were unoccupied at the time of the offences.
Police are appealing to anyone in the area who may have CCTV at their homes to review their footage and contact police if they notice any suspicious activity that may assist with investigations. Anyone who noticed anything suspicious should contact police with information.
Police are reminding residents to lock their doors and windows even when at home to help prevent crime. Report suspicious activity immediately. Security screens, alarm systems, CCTV systems, a dog and vigilant neighbours are just some strategies to help combat crime in your local area.
