Senior Constable Clancy spotted at Blackwood Street Halloween Festival

Police and other community groups had the scariest time at the Blackwood Street Halloween Festival on the weekend, with some well-mannered witches, zombies, skeletons and vampires there to give us all a scare.
Senior Constable Clancy helped support the event and I would like to thank the little three foot ghost wearing the pink crocs who gave us the best scare ever at the end of the night.

Mt Zero and road safety

Police from the Inner West Patrol Group conduct the Mt Zero campaign this past weekend spreading road safety messages to all road users.
Officers attended the local bicycle stores in the Brisbane West region to share information in relation to the Mt Zero campaign. We would like to thank the crew from Ride Indooroopilly – Jason Larsson (Owner) and double Olympic gold medallist Ryan Bayley OAM for their support.

Dared to be scared this Halloween?

Little zombies, ghosts and witches will soon take to the streets alongside bigger monsters and mummies to celebrate Halloween.
Although Halloween continues to gain popularity in Australia, not everybody in Queensland celebrates this spooktacular night and some may find a group of young vampires or skeletons on their doorstep very confronting.
To help you indicate whether Trick or Treaters are welcome at your house or not, the QPS has created posters that can be displayed at your doorstep or on your letterbox.

If Trick or Treaters are welcome at your home, download and print the poster here: colour and b&w.
If you do not wish to participate, download and print the ‘No thanks’ poster here.
We all love a good scare, but not when it comes to the safety of children. To make sure your Halloween doesn’t become a nightmare, Trick or Treaters should:

Be accompanied by a mother or father monster at all times (or
