Thieves target motorcycles

Inner West police are advising motorcycle owners and riders that within the last week a number of road and trail bikes have been the target of thieves in the following Inner West suburbs:

Ashgrove;
Everton Hills; and
Arana Hills

At the time of being stolen, the targeted motorcycles were either parked in a residential garage or driveway.
The modus operandi of these thieves have been to either break and enter into an address or simply enter it through an unlocked access point, locate the keys to the motorcycle and either ride or push the motorcycle away from the occurrence address.
Inner West police would like to remind owners and riders to be vigilant with their motorcycle’s security and recommended the following security tips to protect their pride and joy:

Record the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and engine number, particularly if the motorcycle is unregistered or for off-road/road racing;
Ensure that access points at residential addresses (including garages) are

Fatal traffic crash, Indooroopilly

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal traffic crash involving a cyclist and car in Indooroopilly this morning.
The crash occurred around 6:50am on Kate Street near the intersection at Boundary Road involving a cyclist travelling down the road and a car travelling in the opposite direction.
The cyclist, a 54-year-old Brookfield man died at the scene.
The 37-year-old male driver of the vehicle was not physically injured.
Investigations are continuing.

CCTV footage: Break and enter, Enoggera

Ferny Grove Criminal Investigation Branch officers investigating a recent break and enter at a house in Enoggera, have released images and footage of a man who may be able to assist them with their inquires.
At approximately 1.30pm on Monday, October 23 a dwelling on View Street, Enoggera was unlawfully entered after windows to the front of the property were smashed.

The man is described as Caucasian, aged in his later 30’s, slim build, shaved head, tattoos to the lower left leg and possible tattoo to the neck (right side) and was wearing a long sleeve black shirt with “Everlast” logo, black board shorts, black cap with “Nike” logo and black sunglasses.

Senior Constable Clancy spotted at Blackwood Street Halloween Festival

Police and other community groups had the scariest time at the Blackwood Street Halloween Festival on the weekend, with some well-mannered witches, zombies, skeletons and vampires there to give us all a scare.
Senior Constable Clancy helped support the event and I would like to thank the little three foot ghost wearing the pink crocs who gave us the best scare ever at the end of the night.

Meet us at Blackwood Street for a spooktacular night

Calling out loud for all scary zombies, ghouls, ghosts, witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves, Gomez and Morticias.
The Blackwood Street Halloween Festival is being held in Blackwood Street, Mitchelton on October 29 between 4pm – 8pm.
Blackwood Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between Samford Road and Grovely Terrace for the Halloween Festival.
